Jamie Reavis is the founder of Be the Change Consulting Services LLC. She believes in changing one life at a time through empowerment, advocacy, education.
Jamie Reavis is a seasoned, certified facilitator & trainer, who started her work as a peer trainer with Mental Health America of Virginia in 2013. She is now certified as a training provider & supervisor through the Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services (DBHDS) for the Peer Recovery Specialist in the state of Virginia, and is an approved continuing education provider for the Virginia Certification Board. Jamie has presented on various subjects, and is especially passionate about Trauma-Informed Care & Resiliency, and is Certified Trainer on the subject matter through ChildSavers.
Jamie is a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner through the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, a Registered Peer Recovery Specialist with the Virginia Department of Health Professions & Board of Counseling, a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist through the Virginia Certification Board. In addition, she is also a Certified Advance Directive Facilitator, equipped to help people with psychiatric crisis planning, a Wellness & Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Facilitator, and a Self-Management and Addiction Recovery (SMART) Facilitator.
As an advocate & survivor of mental health, Jamie works hard to share with others tools that may equip them for life as leaders, peer recovery specialist, or whatever one is striving to achieve. She serves to help all people, especially individuals who have experienced trauma, and individuals living with mental health and/or substance use diagnosis.
